PHASE 1: INSPIRE

6-Week Online Innovation Competition

  • Period: 16 November – 28 December 2026

  • Format: Online

What you’ll do

  • Step 1: Form a team of two people

  • Step 2: Create an innovative business plan following the guidelines

  • Identify a pressing challenge and a promising opportunity related to food security, food safety, or the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 - Good Health and Well-being.

  • Design an innovative and practical business solution that addresses the selected challenge and leverages the opportunity. 

Your idea may relate to growers, nurseries, traders, retailers, food services, processors, food creators, or other stakeholders across the food value chain.

What to submit

Your business plan must include

Accepted formats:

  • Video (under 3 minutes)

  • Presentation (max. 7 slides)

  • Infographic (max. 2 pages)

  • Optional visuals, prototypes, or mock-ups

phase 2: engage

Innovation in Horticulture & Entrepreneurial Excellence (2 days)

  • Dates: 13 - 14 February 2026

  • Location: Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk State

  • Format: In-person program

In this phase, you will take part in an immersive 2-day program in South Korea, designed to help turn ideas into viable, real-world business solutions through field visits, collaboration and expert guidance.

This step connects insights from the online innovation competition with hands-on learning and pitching practice.

You will be grouped into 4 teams of 5 people to participate in this 2-day trip.

Day 1: Inspiration & Exploration

Participants will visit smart farms and a variety of retailers around the city. Each visit provides practical insights that teams can apply to refining their business ideas.

Day 2: Workshops & Business Pitch

Turn insights into action with expert-led sessions.

phase 3: experience

From Ideas to real horticulture experience

  • Format: In-person or hybrid (depending on placement)

  • Duration: Up to 6 months

Only the TOP 1 team of 5 people will advance to this phase by having the best pitch in phase Engage.

This step focuses on hands-on experience, professional growth, and long-term impact beyond the program.

What you’ll do

  • Participate in individual meetings with the program initiators.

  • Receive personalized guidance to explore career pathways and be matched with one of the following opportunities: internship, traineeship or mentorship.

  • Placements will be coordinated with YEAH initiators based on realistic situations.

What you’ll gain
